About Nearby Plumber

What Nearby Plumber is

Nearby Plumber is an independent, license-verified directory of plumbing companies — Texas first, national by design. Every company we list is matched against its own state’s license records (TSBPE in Texas, DLI in Minnesota, L&I in Washington), and the license type, number, status and the date we last checked it are printed on the listing. If we cannot match a company to a current license, we say so on the page rather than quietly leaving the badge off.

Why it exists

Search for a plumber and you get directories that verify a credit card, not a license. The badges say “certified”, “screened” or “background checked”, and none of those words is a license. We built the opposite: the credential is the product, and every claim on this site has to be true where it is made.

What we do not do

We do not sell placement. Ordering on a county page is driven by verification strength, never by payment, and no amount of money moves a listing up. We do not write listings — provider records come from the state roster, not from us. We do not invent service areas: where a company works is a claim that has to come from the company or from a public record, never from where its mailing address happens to sit.

Who runs it

Nearby Plumber is operated by COMNIO LLC. It is a sister site to Nearby Septic and Nearby Electricians, and all three run on the same verification rules.
