Plumbers by city
Plumbers by city in Florida.
Most people look by town rather than county. These are the Florida cities with the most listed businesses — each is the address the business gives in public records, not a claim about how far it will travel.
We track 39,743 state-listed plumbers in Texas, Minnesota, Washington, California, Nevada and Florida — yours may already be listed. Create or claim your free profile and get quote requests from homeowners in the counties you serve.
Florida plumbing permits come from the county or municipal building department with jurisdiction; DBPR certifies plumbing contractors statewide or registers them for local work.
Florida licenses plumbing contractors at the state level through the Construction Industry Licensing Board of the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), in two forms. A certified plumbing contractor may contract anywhere in the state (Fla. Stat. § 489.113); a registered plumbing contractor may contract only in the counties and municipalities where they have met the local licensing requirements (§ 489.117). Permits are local: a certified contractor shows a current certificate to the local building official or other person in charge of issuing building permits in the area and pays the same permit fee as anyone else (§ 489.113(4)). A plumbing permit comes from the county or municipal building department with jurisdiction over the address.
A county page here is the list of verified companies filed in that county, not a permit rule. Verified provider listings are thinner: we only list a company once we’ve matched it to a current DBPR license, so many counties show none yet. We’d rather show the gap than pad the directory with names we haven’t checked. How we verify
